Living Room Dimensions

If you want to be a full-on living room minimalist, you need to know the correct minimalist living room dimensions. To know about it, however, you also need to know the normal dimensions for living rooms all over the world. Below are several living room sizes that are commonly used in the world:

A tiny living room

A tiny living room is exactly what it is. It is the smallest living room possible (less than that and you and your guests will not have an ample space to move in), sitting at 2.1 x 3m space. This is, like it has been mentioned, the smallest living room possible as it can fit only a small couch (possibly a two-seater couch) and a small coffee table. The TV, if you want to put one in a living room, should only be hung on the opposite side of the couch.

You might think that this is the easiest size to minimize, but you are wrong. A minimalist living room emphasizes space, and this tiny room is pretty much wanting in terms of space. A tiny living room got a higher chance of getting more cluttered than the bigger ones, after all.

A medium sized living room

The medium-sized living rooms are normally set around 3.7 x 5.5m. Some can go beyond or less than that, but that is the normal size of many medium-sized living rooms. Even though it is a medium-sized room, it can actually fit a lot of people (not as many as the large living room next, but definitely a step-up from the tiny living room). A room of that size can fit possibly 10 people with normal weight, but only if you set up the couches next to the four walls. If you put the couches not close to the wall, it can probably fit 6 or 7 people, depending on the size of each person.

This room stands as a room that can be minimalized pretty easily. It depends on how you set up the furniture and the numbers of people you expect to have there. A minimalist living room can make a room seems spacy, even when the room’s maximum capacity has been reached. Put the couches and the furniture to the walls to make space for something minimalist in the middle.

A large living room

The biggest of them all at 4.6 x 6.0m. Obviously, you need to make do with the space given to you by putting something practical between the spaces that the couches (or the seats) got. While a minimalist living room needs space, it does not mean you can just leave a space bare. Make that space practical by putting things like writing desks or game tables. Easiest living room dimensions to be minimalized when compared to the other three.
